Pointillism Landscape

Mountain Landscape

Completed Date: 8/5/13

Medium: acrylic

Description: With Georges Seurat and Leaf and Twig’s post Summer’s Saturday as my inspiration, I painted this serene scene of nature. Impressionism has always been my favorite period and style of art, so it was lots of fun to try out some pointillism. Even just my small 11×14″ painting took a while, so it’s crazy for me to imagine how much time and patience it took for Seurat to complete his 7×10 feet painting Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte!
