A Pile of Shoes

September 13, 2012 by mamie

Completed Date: 8/11/12

Medium: oil pastels

Description: As another one of my summer sketchbook projects for AP Art, I arranged some of my colorful shoes in a pile and took a picture of them in the dark with a bright light shining on them to create a range of values and contrast as a reference for my drawing. I had so much fun laying down all of the color and shapes once the time came, especially since I’m pretty sure that oil pastels are my favorite medium (of course, that changes frequently, though…). Anyway, this was my favorite sketchbook project over the summer by far!
