Acrylic Olive Orchard

Completed Date: 3/30/12

Medium: acrylic paint

Description: I painted this landscape after studying some of Van Gogh’s work, which is always inspiring. (I could look at his works of art everyday for the rest of my life.) With impressionism as a theme, I used an olive orchard scene in Italy as a reference, while I sort of “let loose.” This was also the first time I had painted on tar paper, so that was exciting, as well. It’s a great surface to paint on because it’s flexible but sturdy, too!
