Bike Silhouette

Completed Date: 9/23/10

Medium: acrylic paint

Description: In art class, this piece was my product of our bike study my freshman year. Our whole class gathered around a real bike and sketched it in our sketchbooks from various angles. Then, we chose a certain area to depict, sketched the silhouette, and filled in the background with a monochromatic pattern. I chose ice cream cones for my background to go with a summery, fresh composition for the piece.
