Completed Date: December 2011

Medium: magazine articles, glue, tissue paper, construction paper, glitter glue, acrylic paint

Description: This is a collage I made for a project for my Girl Scout troop’s journey Girltopia. The theme Girltopia was meant to teach us about the troubles and persistant inequality for women around the world and to inspire us to spread the word and do something about it. We focused on activism for females and pushing the world closer to a “utopia” for girls, but really, it made us realize that a better world for girls would be a better world for everyone! For our troop’s “Create It!” project, we all made paintings and wrote poetry and created something for our Girltopia kiosk, which was displayed in the Peachtree City Library for a few months.
